The Wilkinson VS1300 series is a continuation of the collaboration between the two world-renowned companies, Wilkinson and Gotoh. Following the legendary Wilkinson VS100N, which served as an improved replacement for the original Fender tremolo from 1954, the new VS1300 tremolo is another innovation in that design. Today, the VS1300 stands as the benchmark for reliable and functional tremolo design.

The VS1300 from the Wilkinson and Gotoh team is simply the ultimate tremolo for the modern player!

At the heart of the tremolo is a technologically unique 40mm high steel block with deeply drilled holes for strings. The holes are not in a straight line as traditionally done but in various positions outside the line. This ingenious change takes into account the mechanical differences in the behavior of individual strings, which are made differently according to thickness and require different tension for musically balanced intonation.

The new type of saddles provides musicians with the most comfortable playing experience compared to other products on the market. Each saddle has an individual string lock at the most critical point, increasing the transfer of energy from the string to the vibration, providing longer sustain and exceptional tuning stability.

The arm has an internal thread at the end as a counterpart to the screw in the clamp, allowing for the adjustment of its desired height. The clamp is perfectly precise and tightly wraps around the arm, making it completely free of wobbling. The overall stiffness of the arm movement can be adjusted with the screw in the clamp.

The two-point non-locking tremolo system is extremely reliable. It includes 2 pieces of locking tremolo studs for custom intonation adjustment.

Thanks to the innovation of the two-point system, this tremolo can be used both as a down-only or as floating (in this case, the body area under the tremolo must be milled out).

The included tremolo springs have standard tension. In our store, you can also find springs with higher tension.

The saddle travel distance

When using with an electric guitar with fanned fret scale, the saddle movement becomes important. We measured about 6.2mm maximum movement on our piece. Quite likely, this can be slightly enlarged with filing the saddle groove to make it longer (we did not test that).
